Nascent Health Sciences Announces New Name HOWTIAN LLC

Zhucheng Haotian Biotech Co., Ltd (ZCHT), the principal manufacturing partner of Nascent Health Sciences, recently announced its new corporate brand HOWTIAN®. The refresh of its corporate identity reflects the company’s expanded global footprint and commitment to the sustainable production of natural ingredients.

As part of efforts to consolidate and unify global business operations under the new brand, going forward Nascent Health Sciences will be operating as HOWTIAN LLC to best serve our customers in North America. HOWTIAN LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ZCHT, will continue to offer our complete portfolio of ingredient solutions, including SoPure™ Stevia, PureQQ® Pyrroloquinoline Quinone, Inositol, Vitamin E and more.

Our leadership, personnel, and day-to-day operations are unaffected by these changes and there is no impact on the supply of our ingredients. Our promise to our customers stays the same — to provide the highest quality ingredient solutions to meet your product manufacturing and formulation needs. And we remain dedicated to partnering with food, beverage, nutrition, and personal care product manufacturers to promote health and wellness for consumers, to empower people to live better lives.

To accompany the launch of HOWTIAN LLC, a new website has been created along with updated email addresses — [name]@howtiangroup.com — for corporate staff members. Aside from that, working with us will be business as usual. If you’re a current customer, a company representative will be in touch with you to ensure there is no disruption to services and operations.

Nascent’s SoPure™ Stevia Attains FDA GRAS Status

Nascent’s SoPure™ Stevia Attains FDA GRAS Status

Nascent Health Sciences, LLC has received an FDA “No Questions” Letter for the Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) notification (GRN 983) of its SoPure™ steviol glycosides, effectively achieving the regulatory agency’s safety designation for SoPure™ Stevia as a food ingredient. The FDA had previously issued a “No Questions” Letter regarding the company’s SoPure™ Reb A steviol glycoside. This expands significantly upon that confirmation to now include the complete portfolio of SoPure™ steviol glycosides extracted and purified from the stevia leaf.

SoPure™ Stevia Attains FDA GRAS Status

“We are very pleased to receive the FDA’s No Objection Letter regarding SoPure™ Stevia’s GRAS status,” says Hank Wang, Technical Director of Nascent Health Sciences. “This provides our manufacturing customers with confidence knowing that their stevia supply is not only grown naturally and sourced sustainably, but is also safe and backed by the most stringent regulatory approvals.”

SoPure™ Stevia is a trademarked family of commercial stevia products from the world’s largest manufacturer of all-natural stevia leaf extracts. SoPure™ has been successfully incorporated in formulations for a vast range of products across the globe including beverages, baked goods, sauces and condiments, tabletop sweeteners, confectionary products, dairy products, and personal care products.

To submit the GRAS notice to the FDA, Nascent partnered with GRAS Associates, a subsidiary of Nutrasource, to ensure regulatory compliance, substantiation of claims, and approval of labeling.

Nascent Bolsters Stevia Supply Amid COVID-19 Global Supply Chain Shortages

Nascent Bolsters Stevia Supply Amid COVID-19 Global Supply Chain Shortages

An upsurge in demand for sugar alternatives, coupled with production and logistical challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, have caused significant supply chain disruptions for ingredients such as steviol glycosides, crystalline allulose, and erythritol. Product shortages have also caused longer lead times and prices have increased, further exacerbating matters for many manufacturers of food and beverage products dependent upon sweetener ingredients.

Here at Nascent, we have been focused on reinforcing the availability of our broad range of ingredients, including all grades of stevia from Reb A through Reb M — in both conventional and certified organic varieties — as well as a complete portfolio of 1:1 sugar replacement solutions. While some ingredient companies and suppliers have struggled with delays and shortages due to the continued fallout from COVID-19, we are pleased to inform customers that we are fully stocked on all stevia extracts, blends and flavors. Our inventory levels remain abundant in all our warehouses across the US, with dozens of metric tons of product available today.

Nascent Stevia Supply in US Warehouses

Nascent’s availability of supply is largely thanks to our continuous R&D efforts with Zhucheng Haotian Pharm Co., Ltd. (ZCHT), the world’s largest manufacturer of natural stevia extracts. Along with manufacturing economies of scale and its abundance of leaf supply, ZCHT couples high-efficiency extraction methods with high-yielding plant varieties to achieve the most economical and sustainable portfolio of targeted glycosides.

In addition to meeting supply shortages in this challenging market, Nascent has continued providing strategic consultation services with our customers on optimal formulation solutions, managing changing costs for ingredients and forecasting consumption trends.

Happy 10 Years! Announcing the New Nascent Health Sciences…

Happy 10 Years! Announcing the New Nascent Health Sciences…

Happy Anniversary! 🥂 It’s 2021 and we’re celebrating a fruitful 10 years for Nascent, a new corporate identity, and a new website!

This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Nascent Health Sciences. We’re thrilled to have come this far, so in the spirit of blossoming — and strengthening our success over these years — we are excited to unveil our new corporate identity. The refresh of the Nascent brand is intended to better reflect who we are today, and communicate more of the services and offerings we provide to our partners and manufacturing customers as we look forward to the next ten years.

In addition to a complete redesign of the corporate website, we’ve got a brand new logo. The new logo juxtaposes two shapes: a green and blue colored leaf, and a red and yellow colored molecule. Its design is meant to reflect the intersection of technology and nature — because we, as a company, prioritize the study of alchemy in nature to inspire organic, sustainable, and safe development of ingredients that promote healthy living. The logo also incorporates primary colors to express an ethos of playfulness, approachability, and vibrancy. It is a reflection of how we deliver dedicated customer service and custom-designed ingredient solutions for each of our customer’s unique needs and formulation challenges.

Nascent Logo From Old to New

The company has changed a lot since its inception. We’ve seen the marketplace demand for non-GMO, responsibly-grown stevia blossom into global acceptance where stevia extract has become the plant-based sweetener of choice for food & beverage manufacturers. And although stevia has been a core offering for Nascent these 10 years, Nascent has significantly expanded its portfolio of ingredients and proprietary formulations. We’ve evolved into a full-service ingredient solutions provider, offering robust consulting services to provide end-to-end product planning and logistical support.

The new branding doesn’t affect our two category-leading ingredient brands, SoPure™ Stevia (our family of stevia products including Reb A, Reb D, Reb M) and PureQQ® Pyrroloquinoline Quinone. But in addition to SoPure™, Nascent’s natural sweeteners portfolio now includes sugar reduction offerings such as monk fruit extract, bulk sugar substitutes including allulose, erythritol, sorbitol, and xylitol, proprietary sweetener blends, functional excipients including inulin, isomalto oligosaccharide, fructo oligosaccharide, xylo oligosaccharide, resistant dextrin, hydroxypropyl methlycellulose, and polydextrose, and proprietary natural flavors.

And in addition to PureQQ®, Nascent’s health supplements portfolio now includes ingredients to improve mitrochondrial health and cellular nutrition such as inositol, CoQ10, NMN, reservatrol, astaxanthin (or zeaxanthin), ALA, carnitine, choline, and natural caffeine, as well as supplemental vitamins biotin, B12, and ascorbic acid.

Our new website offers further details on these new ingredient portfolios, as well as our suite of added-value services for customers — such as consultation on product formulation, education and training support, and supply chain optimization. We hope you’ll take a moment to learn more about the new Nascent Health Sciences and join us in celebrating this important milestone. Cheers! 🍾
